Gastrocopta (Albinula) similis (Sterki 1909)

♦ Note: While Pilsbry (1948, LMNA) treated this taxon as a form of Gastrocopta armifera, Hubricht (1972, 1985) and many subsequent authors, have regarded G. similis as a distinct species. G. similis was described from Rose Hill, ON, and Grimm (1996, Molluscs, Mixedwood Plains Ecosystem) suggests that most Ontario records of G. armifera refer instead to this species. Therefore, for other possible records of this species, see G. armifera.
